Influenza Virus In Vitro Strain List

Influenza viruses mutate quickly by antigenic shift and reassortment requiring development and reformulation of new vaccines each year. IBT Bioservices offer in vitro assays to test antiviral resistance development and to evaluate compounds’ ability to inhibit virus-induced activities such as plaque formation (PRNT) or cytopathogenicity (CPE). The table below lists Influenza strains for which we have validated assays (the asterisks indicate strains for which we offer in vivo efficacy testing).
